Garages

Petrol stations have always intrigued me. They are a symbol of modern society’s need for the means of personal mobility, which equals personal freedom. I sound like an apologist for Shell.

These garages were on the A47 twixt Norwich and King’s Lynn, and closed over the last few years, some very recently.

The only rural garage still open has a MacDonald’s attached. Sociologists can read what they like into that.
